Pitbull lawyer Gloria Allred threatened to wear a sexy flapper outfit today not because she was feeling frisky but to make a point. Allred represents seven female waitresses from an Atlantic City casino, who were reportedly fired for being too old and who were replaced by younger waitresses all donning a new dress code: sexy flapper.

The women say that although they were reluctantly willing to wear the flapper uniform when Resorts because decided to go with a roaring 20s theme, the casino fired and replaced them with younger women who were allegedly more able to attract young male customers.

During a news conference, Allred put the legal documents on a silver plate, directly poking fun at the casinos new Let us serve you! marketing campaign, declaring, We will be serving YOU today. Not with a cocktail, but with a lawsuit.

The former cocktail waitresses, who range in age from 40 and 66, are suing Resorts Casino for unlawful sex, age, and race discrimination. Now they want to be compensated for back pay, lost wages, as well as for pain and suffering.

We allege in our lawsuit that the defendants, including Dennis Gomes, undertook a plan to change the makeup of the group of female cocktail servers to ensure that as a group the cocktail servers were younger, slimmer, sexier and more conforming to a stereotype of feminine beauty, Allred said surrounded by her seven clients.

In response, Resorts issued a statement that said the casino has acted in accordance with all legal requirements in its employment decisions. As we indicated before, cocktail servers were given individual consideration and the selection process was conducted in a fair and objective manner.
